Urban Doula uses evidence-based information when assisting expecting parents to form healthy decisions in regards to their birth. Embracing positive attitudes and approaching all situations with a loving, non-judgmental mindset. Urban Doula strives to bridge the gaps between support and healthcare professionals.

What a doula can do for you??
Doula’s provide guidance in making birth plans. A doula can provide you and your spouse/partner with emotional support before, during and after labor. Doula’s can assist with laboring at home before active labor is present and time to go to the hospital and or birthing center. If having a home birth doula’s can allow for midwives to take breaks to be well rested for delivery. Assist couples with understanding healthcare dialog if birthing at a hospital. Assist with pain through positioning, massaging and applying pressure. A doula can allow for spouse/partner to take breaks when needed. Doula’s can provide personalized attention to fit the needs of the couple.
