How My Journey Began

Greetings!! 

I am Alyssa (uh-lee-sa).

I am a California girl, living in the Texas world! 

I am a mother, a wife, and often remind myself, I’m a bossed-up entrepreneur. My experience ranges as I have worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for over 6 years in clinics such as OB/GYN, Urology/GYN, and Primary Care as well as received my doula training through CAPPA. Holding an associate degree in science and bachelor's degree in sociology has opened the doors for helping others as a social worker for the last several years, truly loving and enjoying helping others. 

My burning desire to become a doula was the pathway that led me to assist in improving maternal care. I’ve always known, in my mind and in my heart, I needed to be part of the solution, to lead by example of what excellent, educational and informational support looks and feels like! I believe every woman deserves honest, genuine support and when they take control of their lives, they have a newfound sense of empowerment and confidence. I am told I could very well wear the shoes of “The sister of Mother Teresa”; always helping anywhere I can. And here I am, reaching women one day at a time!
